1200 km in 24 hours from Krakow to Vienna and Hartberg

What do you do on a friday, if you discover a phonenumber of an old study friend of a couple of years ago? nothing and just let it go, try to ring the number and see who at the other side of the line? so I suprised my friend David who lives in county: Hartberg inhabitants: 6.546 size: 21.51km² sea level: 360 - 630 m (http://www.hartberg.at/hb_englisch/index.htm) by calling him on friday and asked if I could visit him on saterday. But before I tell more about this I will tell you about my trip in more detail.

Friday I decided that I wanted to go to Vienna, I remembered that I knew somebody in Vienna, in 2004 I was exhange student in Szekesfehervar in Hungary, and studied 3 months communication in Hungary. Did we study much? yes and no, if you look from a social aspect then we studied pretty much, more I dont need to say. So Friday night I started to drive at 3 am towards Wien as the city is named in German. I arrived in the city center of Vienna at 10 am in the morning, I parked my car and walk into the city and enjoyed the architecture and the nice calm saterday morning. And I visited Star Bucks :) yes after 6 months finally I have been to Star Bucks again :) I enjoyed a nice cup of coffee and then at 11 am went to my lunch meeting with Kate and Stephanie in a nice lunch room, after the great lunch the ladies took me to the best bakery in town. ''When early in the morning a delicate waft of chocolate and pastry pervades through the house then the confectioners at the Kohl-markt have started their working day. In order to produce the freshest of goods at the highest level of quality the bakery of the K.u.K. (Imperial and Royal) Court Confectionary Bakery Demel was relocated back to the site at the Kohlmarkt. On several floors the confectioners produce the typical Demel specialities as they have been doing for over 200 years; these include cream cakes, the finest tea scones and cakes as well as home-made confectionary, all precisely and skilfully hand-made. All products are made from specially chosen and natural ingredients.'' ( http://www.demel.at/en/index_en_flash.htm)

After my sight seeing tour in Vienna I went Hartberg this city is 1 hour and 30 min away from Vienna, but the road is easy a nice highway through the mountains, its really amazing how they have build all the roads there in Austria, the views you have from the road is amazing and sometimes breath taking. I can recommend everybody to go to Austria and see Vienna and also Hartberg. For the Irish under us, even in Hartberg you have an Irish pub and you can have a nice pint of the black stuff. When I arrived in Hartberg, the father of David saw an Polish car on the driveway and he got little bit worried, then he saw me walking arround, so he asked me what I wanted to do, and why I was there, I explained him quickly I was the old studyfriend of David in Hungary, and then everything was fine. For some reason people get still nerveuse if they see a car with polish number plates. The mother of David gave me a warm welcome and I felt right away home, it was if I had been more often in the house, the family Coos is so friendly. I was not in the house, or the coffee and dinner where ready for me. with a couple of friends we had a home party, and we started with playing a game of cards, the game is called Grass.
''What the Grass Card Game is all about...
Forget Uno, Yahtzee or any other portable card game - Grass is one truly addictive game, even without inhaling. Comprising a deck of high quality playing cards, packaged suitably in a hemp satchel, Grass is a card game playable anywhere and anytime, all without risk of being arrested.
The object of Grass is to be the first player to make $250,000 by hustling weed (and not your garden variety either). Try to stop your opponents by putting the heat on their drug peddling by using the Detained, Search and Seizure cards, or steal from your opponents stash, but be careful as others will try to get at your stash as well. Try to remain calm and avoid the Paranoia cards, which'll forfeit your turn.
Keeping a clear head is ironically needed for you to outwit your opponents in this cut-throat game, that'll have you and your friends wanting a drug cartel of your very own!
Grass is one highly immersive card game that'll truly test the deceit, trickery and sharp negotiation skills of the most strategic thinkers out there.
Voted best game, Game Magazine for over seven years, Grass is not only addictive, but a worldwide epidemic of playability, earning its place as one of the most popular card games of this generation. Grab your bag of Grass now before it's smoked!

I really enjoyed to play this game and as a good Dutchman I won the game from the Austrians, nobody could keep track of my way of doing business and before they knew it I at 500.000 dollar and became the master of Grass. Hm dont know if I should be proud on that, and I think I had really much luck he he but that doesnt matter it was fun :) so go and start play this game. The thing in Hartberg was that I needed to communicate in German :) :) it was little heavy but it went ok, I really enjoyed it and my German speaking improved again, he he or it where the beers that made me speak german fluently hmmm no comments.
In Krakow I made appointment for Iceskating, I looked so forward to this, cause finally I could try out my iceskates from Holland. At the icering they didnt allow me to enter the track with my dutch speed skates as if I would be a danger for everybody on the ice. They didnt accept my skates so I didnt want to go ice skating, next year I probably need to find a lake orso or go to Holland where people do allow all kinds of ice skates on the ice ring.
My weekend was brilliant but to short, please look at the pictures for an idea of what I have been doing. Further I booked a ticket to Milan this week, soon more about this.
